Finding the Right Size
We recommend getting fitted again every six months to a year, depending on how your body changes. Since teens' bodies are ever-changing, six months is usually the better guideline. It's always good to double-check, especially if your current bra isn't fitting the way it used to.
Signs you need a new bra:
- Breasts spilling out the sides means your band size is too small.
- Straps adjusted all the way and still no support, with straps falling off, means your band size is too large.
- Cups gapping means your band size is too large.
- Cups wrinkling means your band size is too small.
- The band riding up when you raise your arms means your band size is too small.

All you need is your band size and overbust measurement, then subtract them - no outdated plus-4 method, which would give you the wrong band size from the start, and an incorrectly fitting bra as a result.
Each inch equals one cup size:
- Less than 1 inch = AA cup
- 1 inch = A cup
- 2 inches = B cup
- 3 inches = C cup
- 4 inches = D cup
- 5 inches = DD cup or E cup
- 6 inches = DDD cup or F cup
- 7 inches = DDDD cup or G cup
- ...and so on
Example 1: Teen Girl
Underbust/ribcage measurement: 30 inches (even, so no rounding needed) - band size 30. Overbust measurement: 35 inches. Subtracting the 30 band from the 35 overbust gives a 5-inch difference - a DD/E cup. Her bra size is 30DD or 30E.
What would happen with the outdated plus-4 method? She'd be a 34A - a stark difference from her real size, and a good example of how many people have the wrong idea of what a given cup size actually looks like. Everyone's cup size looks different depending on their measurements; the one constant is that each inch equals a cup size.

Example 2: Teen Girl
Underbust/ribcage measurement: 33 inches (odd, rounds up to the nearest even whole number) - band size 34. Overbust measurement: 40 inches. Subtracting the 34 band from the 40 overbust gives a 6-inch difference - a DDD/F cup. Her bra size is 34DDD or 34F.
What would happen with the outdated plus-4 method? She'd be a 38B - again, a sharp difference, adding confusion unnecessarily.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the same collection really work for such different bra sizes?

Why does the plus-4 method matter so much for cup size, not just band size?
Because cup size is calculated as the difference between overbust and band, artificially inflating the band with plus-4 always shrinks the calculated cup size in the process.
How often should a teen actually get re-measured?
Every six months is the general guideline, since teen bodies change quickly enough that a bra fitting correctly now may not fit the same way half a year later.
