Tales From the BRABAR Studio: Everyday Bras, Strapless Bras, Sports Bras, and More for Teens and Young Adults with C-DDD Cup
For all the petite ribcage and full-busted girlies out there, this one is for you especially if you have a 28-34 ribcage and a C-DDD/F Cup!
What kind of options do petite ribcage and full-busted teenagers and young adults have here at BRABAR? Plenty! The whole origin of BRABAR is based on filling a gap in the intimates market for teenage intimates–teenage bralettes, teenage bras, and young adult bras. Comfort is the foundation for success and happiness. And an uncomfortable bra can make or break someone’s day certainly!
The first kind of bra you want to look at is always the classic everyday bra. The everyday bra that you wear every day for work, for school, for lounging, for being on the go in your busy life. The everyday bra is the bra that you would wear the most. So why shouldn’t it be comfortable AND supportive at the same time?
BRABAR’s selection of wireless, supportive, and comfy teen everyday bras and young adult everyday bras has a fantastic variety of styles and colors.
From my experience working at the BRABAR studio, one of the tried and true, but no less stylish, choice is the Everyday Bra. The Everyday Bra has all you could want–thin adjustable straps, removable pads, no wire, back closure with three hooks, and comes in three different colors. It will go under your school uniform as a teenage bra or your button-up work shirt for the young adult on the go.
Of course, that’s not all, there is also the fan-favorite, the bestselling Soft Day Bra. The Soft Day Bra is made with very soft but supportive material and the Soft Day Bra has a back closure with three hooks. Like the Everyday Bra, the Soft Day Bra has removable pads, wireless, and slightly thicker straps than the Everyday Bra. The Soft Day Bra is perfect for work, school, and home. You can try it in the basic colors of White, Ballet Pink, Coffee, and Black Soft Day Bras. Or you can try it in fun colors like Autumn Maple, Ash, Victoria Blue, Sparkling Grape, and Orchid Pink Soft Day Bras. Fashion or function, the Soft Day Bra is absolutely worth it as a choice for a teenage bralette.
As a quick example, a teen who was a 34DDD or 34F (DDD and F Cups are different ways of saying the Cup Size) loved the Soft Day Bra for its support and comfort, just as much as a teen who was a 32DD!
Other than everyday bras, BRABAR has a selection of medium-impact teenage sports bras! The good news about BRABAR’s bras many can double as a teenage sports bra like the halter bralettes.
A great choice is the X Sports Bra. A racerback style with everyday comfort and support but also for medium-impact activities, the X Sports Bra is comfortable, soft, and fashionable. Seamless, and double-lined with no padding, the X Sports Bra stretches to accommodate the breasts. A super option for even those was D+ Cups, like a teenager with a 34DDD or 34F Bra Size!
Another great option for a teenage sports bra which can also double as a cami bra top for teens is the Soft Cami Bra Top. The Soft Cami Bra Top is a fan-favorite bestseller in a variety of different colors: Black, White, Mushroom, Fuschia Rose, Orchid Pink, Della Robbia Blue, Sparkling Grape, Chocolate Brown, Victoria Blue, Black and White, and Ash. The Soft Cami Bra Top is part of our Soft Collection, featuring some of the softest, most comfortable, and supportive bras at BRABAR. Not only is this longline Soft Cami Bra Top good for the gym or every day, but also on its own as a top, hence all the wonderful colors available. Even better, it is a wonderful tween bralette! Snug like a hug around the ribcage, for example, for a 30DD or 30E, the Soft Cami Bra Top is perfect!
What about a teenage strapless bra or a young adult strapless bra option? Well, the Soft Strapless Bra is a great longline strapless bra option. Longline strapless bras tend to be more comfortable and supportive! The Soft Strapless Bra Top offers a practical choice all year long. The Soft Strapless Bra Top comes in Black and Mushroom. An alternative to the Soft Strapless Bra is the X Baslayer Bandeau, a simple one-layer bandeau bra, which is a comfortable option that also comes in Black and Mushroom. Both would work well for a teenager with a Bra Size of 32DD for instance!
And last but not least, what about a comfortable but fashionable bra for fun? The Soft V Laceback Bralette is the way to go. With the colors of Black, Ash, Asphalt, Chive, Faded Denim, Pale Mauve, Victoria Blue, Fuschia Rose, and Chocolate Brown available, you have so many options for your wardrobe. The Soft V Laceback Bralette has a beautiful trendy lace design for the back or the front as a reversible bralette. A teenager with a Bra Size of 30DD or 30E would love it so much, and so would an adult with a Bra Size of 36DDD or 36F.
Now you have all these options for C-DDD/F!
But how do you find your correct Bra Size?
Well, you need 2 measurements and an understanding of the Cup Size. Shopping by the Cup Size is a no-go because everyone’s cup looks different. Shopping by the Band Size is key to a properly fitting bra.
To find your Band Size, all you have to do is measure snugly the ribcage with a soft tape measure (like they use in sewing!) and round to the nearest WHOLE, EVEN number such as a 27-inch underbust being a 28 Band, a 29-inch underbust being a 30 Band, a 31.5-inch underbust being a 32 Band, and so on.
To find your Overbust Measurement to get your Cup Size, you measure the fullest part of the breasts (over the nipples) with the same measuring tape. You round to the nearest WHOLE number, such as 31.5 inches being a 32-inch Overbust, or 33.15 inches being a 34-inch Overbust.
With the two measurements in hand, you subtract them to get your cup size.
Some examples:
35-inch Overbust - Band 30 (Underbust 29 inches, so round up) = 5-inch difference (a DD-Cup or an E-Cup)
37-inch Overbust - Band 32 (Underbust 32 inches) = 5-inch difference (a DD-Cup or an E-Cup)
40-inch Overbust - Band 34 (Underbust 33.5 inches, so round up) = 6-inch different (a DDD-Cup or an F-Cup)
With each inch difference being a cup size, it’s simply A = 1 inch, B = 2 inches, C = 3 inches, D = 4 inches, DD/E = 5 inches, DDD/F = 6 inches, DDDD/G = 7 inches.
So with the correct Band Size and Cup Size, you have your Bra Size. With the same examples as above, we have 30DD/30E, 32DD/30E, and 34DDD/34F.
You have the options for teenage bralettes, you have the information on how to find your Bra Size, so now you have all the tools you need to find the bra that is right for you!
