YOUR OVERBUST MEASUREMENT - YOUR BAND SIZE = YOUR CUP SIZE

 

Measure your underbust and round to the nearest whole even number to get your Band Size.

 

Measure your overbust and round to the nearest whole number.

 

Subtract your Band Size from your overbust measurement to get your cup size.

 

1 inch = A-Cup

2 inch = B-Cup

3 inch = C-Cup

4 inch = D-Cup

5 inch = DD-Cup or E-Cup

6 inch = DDD-Cup or F-Cup

7 inch = DDDD-Cup or G-Cup

 

Your Cup Size is always determined by the difference between your band size and overbust measurement. If your band size changes, whether it goes up or down, your cup size will also change. The key factor is always the difference between the band size and overbust measurement.

 

Someone’s 28D bra size looks different than someone’s 38D bra size.  They both have D-Cups because the difference between their overbust measurement and band size is 4 inches, but the overbust and band size in each person are different.

 

Someone with a 28D bra size has a 28 Band and a 32 Overbust.  But someone with a 38D bra size has a 38 Band and a 42 Overbust.

Here are my recommendations.

 

For a 28AA bra size, the Soft V Crop Bra and the Soft Crop Bralette are two great options.  Both are unlined.  The Soft V Crop Bra has thicker non-adjustable straps and this is good for the gym.  The Soft Crop Bralette is also a convertible bra with adjustable straps.

 

For a 28A bra size, the Soft Multiway Convertible Bra is a great option.  With good coverage and adjustable straps, the Soft Multiway Convertible Bra can be multiple bras in one.

 

For a 28B bra size, the Everyday Bra is my go-to.  This is the traditional bra without the wire.  The Everyday Bra is a bra with removable pads, so you can have two looks with one bra.

 

For a 28C bra size, the Soft V Reversible Laceback Bralette is a fun, fashionable yet comfortable and supportive lace bra.  With all the colors, it’s a great teen bralette for all year.
