Just like any topic, there are some questions that come along with bra shopping that for some reason can feel a little taboo and like no one wants to ask them and you don’t trust anyone to give you an answer. So that’s what I’m here for. If you’ve ever googled a question and then felt embarrassed about the fact that you’ve ever thought that then this is a safe place for you and I hope we get some of those questions answered. Almost everyone has questions about bras, especially when they are a beginner bra wearer. The funny thing is because people don’t always feel comfortable talking about their bras openly, it can feel like you’re having a secret relationship with Google or Safari about how such a personal item is supposed to fit. But spoiler alert, nothing is too embarrassing or too personal for BRABAR to answer.
Can I And Should I Be Sleeping In A Bra?
Okay, so sleeping in a bra is a completely personal experience and although you totally can sleep in a bra if you don’t want to, you totally don’t have to. I remember when I was younger I liked sleeping in bras. They made me feel more secure and more safe in my development. If that is the case for you feel free to wear one to sleep. I also remember as I got older, I wanted to sleep in bras because I had read online that sleeping in a bra could actually keep your boobs from growing. I know this might sound silly to some of you but sometimes it’s hard to not believe everything you hear on the internet when you are nervous to ask a trusted adult or friend something in person. So let’s just dispel some of these rumors for everyone's sake. Sleeping in a bra will not help prevent your breasts from sagging, it will definitely not prevent your breast from growing, and it will also definitely not cause breast cancer or any permanent changes to your bust shape. However, if you do choose to sleep in a bra, make sure you’re picking something comfortable and not constricting. There are so many options and so many girls that love sleeping in bras. Whatever you choose is completely personal and completely acceptable.

How Often Should I Wash My Bra?
Just like asking any other hygiene related question asking about how often you should wash your bras can also sometimes feel super intimidating. So a general guideline for washing your bras is that you should wash your bra after every 2 to 4 wears depending on your sweat levels, the weather, the activity level, and of course, most importantly your personal preference. Sports bras on the other hand are usually watched after each workout session simply because they absorb more sweat and they might not feel as comfortable if you were going multiple uses before washing it. Part of the reason that having multiple bras is so important is so you can feel like you can wash your bras in a way that does not harm them and or you can still have really good options of bras to wear even if some of your favorite bras are in the laundry. Just remember when you’re watching your bras that every bra might have different care instructions and it can be important for the lifecycle of the bra to follow these instructions. Let your bra rest in between wears so they can recover from supporting you and air dry them as much as possible to help preserve the elasticity of your bra. You should not have any fears going into washing your bra. you are just washing it in order to keep it clean and safe to wear.
Is It Normal If One Of My Breasts Is Larger Than The Other?
Yes, yes yes. Another topic that women sometimes don’t feel the most comfortable talking about is the fact that they’re two breasts may feel like they’re too completely different shapes and sizes. Breast asymmetry is completely normal and almost every single woman has some differences between their two breasts. For some people the difference is barely noticeable and for other people it may feel like the most obvious thing about you. I promise no one else is paying attention to your bust shape or sizes other than you. So deciding which breast you should fit, your bra too is actually pretty simple. You should fit your bra based on your larger breast and when that breast is going to be comfortable and supported. If there’s a noticeable difference between your two breasts, you can use the straps in order to make up for this difference or use a removable pad. The goal of a bra shouldn’t be creating perfect symmetry. It is about creating comfort, confidence and support.

Why Don’t I Know Anything About Bras And My Body?
I think one of the biggest faults of the bra industry is that we’re trying to diagnose bra sizes like they were a problem instead of educating women. So many women really don’t know anything about how it is that they’re supposed to be sized for bras, how often they should get new bras, how bras actually support them, or any of the other questions that you’ve thought about and asked. The truth is there has never really been a safe place for bra education where you feel like you can ask any question and get a fair and honest answer. Most people aren’t taught any of these bra sizing pillars that we are trying to educate about at BRABAR. Learning things about your body and about bras can take a lot of time, especially when it is so personal. So asking questions is completely a part of learning, and totally not something to feel embarrassed about. At all times, we are all learning so much together from each other and developing new questions. All of these questions are valid and will lead to more growth and emotional and physical support.
One Last Thing Before You Go
The questions you’re most nervous to ask are usually the questions that everyone else is also wondering about whether you’re trying to diagnose a bra issue or trying to figure out why your body looks the way it does. These are all incredibly common experiences that most women have gone through in their life. The truth is there is no complete answer for all the different questions that might pop up when you’re learning about bras. The pillars of bras are comfort, support, and confidence that can grow when you’re wearing the right bra and for us it is about the spelling years of myths that have been causing women to live a confused life. As you grow your bodies change and you might develop more questions along with developing different personal needs and style needs. The best advice I can give to you is to never be afraid to ask a question and to think of the end result that your question could lead to. It could end up with you being 1000 times more comfortable and feeling like then you can help your friends figure out what is right for them. The more you learn the less confusing bra shopping, and every day brow wear can become, and the more confident you can feel and make choices that are right for you and your body.

FAQS
Yes, you can sleep in a bra if it feels comfortable for you, but you do not have to. Sleeping in a bra will not stop your breasts from growing, prevent changes to your body, or permanently change your breast shape. If you choose to wear one while sleeping, look for a comfortable, supportive style that does not feel tight or restrictive.
Most bras should be washed after about 2–4 wears, depending on your activity level, sweat, weather, and personal preference. Sports bras should usually be washed after each workout because they absorb more sweat. Following your bra’s care instructions and letting bras air dry can help them last longer and stay supportive.
Yes, it is completely normal. Most people have some difference between their breasts, and breast asymmetry is a natural part of development. When choosing a bra, focus on making sure your larger breast feels comfortable and supported. The goal of a bra is not to make your body perfectly symmetrical—it is to help you feel confident, comfortable, and supported.
