Tales From the BRABAR Studio: The Best Teen Bras and Bralettes With Band Size 32-40
Â
As I have serviced a fair number of people while working in the BRABAR Studio, I have seen many sizes from teens, preteens, and girls, who all have different needs for their bras and bralettes. From teen bralettes, cotton bralettes, halter bralettes, cami-bras, bras for tube tops, crop tops and bralettes, and strapless bras, the selection is here.
I have four cases to share with you all to give examples of what works for teens with 32 Band Size, 34 Band Size, 36 Band Size, 38 Band Size, and 40 Band Size. All these teenagers came into the shop at different times and separately.
The first teenager among the examples came in by herself with her spending money. She measured a 32-inch rib cage measurement. Therefore, she had a 32-bra band size. Her overbust measurement was a 37-inch bust size. How to find the correct band and how to measure bust sizes is as follows: you subtract your bra band size from your bust size. The difference between her two measurements was a 5-inch difference. Each inch is a cup size, so 1 inch is an A-cup, 2-inch is a B-cup, 3-inch is a C-cup, 4-inch is a D-Cup, 5-inch is a DD-cup/E-cup, and 6-inch is a DDD-cup/F-cup. Since a 5-inch difference is a DD-cup/E-cup, the first teen girl was a 36DD/E bra size. Â
The second teenager came in with her mother looking for versatile bras and bralettes for multiuse. She measured a 34-inch rib cage measurement. Therefore, she had a 34-bra band size. Her overbust measurement was a 40-inch bust size. How to find the correct band and how to measure bust sizes is as follows: you subtract your bra band size from your bust size. The difference between her two measurements was a 6-inch difference. Each inch is a cup size, so 1 inch is an A-cup, 2-inch is a B-cup, 3-inch is a C-cup, 4-inch is a D-Cup, 5-inch is a DD-cup/E-cup, and 6-inch is a DDD-cup/F-cup. Since a 6-inch difference is a DDD-cup/F-Cup, the first teen girl was a 36DDD/F bra size. Â
Each teenager was given suggestions to try on to their liking. These are great options for teens, preteens, and girls with Bands 32-40, not in any particular order:

For the teenager with the 34DDD Bra Size, she picked the Soft Day Bra and the Soft V Laceback Bralette. As she had a 34 Band and a DDD Cup, the two bras from the Soft Collection were perfect choices. The Soft Day Bra provided the everyday support for her and the Soft V Laceback Bralette provided the comfort and style she liked.
Generally, the Soft Collection is a great choice for 32-40 Band Sizes but also depends on the teen bralette needs.
All the teenagers and preteens measured found something that worked for them.
SHOP by BAND size and use this guide to determine the correct band size and measure correct bust sizes:
Step 1, Measure Underbust: Wrap a soft measuring tape around your body, just below your breasts. The number you see on the tape corresponds to your band size. Round to the nearest even whole number.
Step 2, Measure Overbust: Using the same measuring tape, wrap it around your body over the fullest part of your breasts. The number on the tape is your bust size. Round to the nearest whole number.
Step 3, Calculate Cup Size: Subtract your band size from your bust size. This difference represents your cup size or the volume of your breast tissue. Cup sizes are typically represented by alphabets (ranging from AAA to DDD/F). For every inch of difference, you move up one cup size: 1 inch = A cup, 2 inches = B cup, 3 inches = C cup, and so forth.
Your bra size is a combination of your band size and cup size alphabet. Subtract your band size from your bust size to determine your cup size in inches. This information helps derive your final bra size, consisting of both band size and cup size. For more details, check out the BRABAR bra size calculator or refer to the fit guide.
