So let’s talk about finding the right size for teens, tweens, and moms alike!

We recommend getting fitted again every 6 months to a year depending on one’s body’s changes. And since teens’ bodies are ever-changing, it is best to get fitted again every six months. It is always good to double-check, especially if the bra you’re wearing isn’t right for you any longer.

Here are some signs telling you that you need a new bra:

-When your breasts spill out of the sides means your bra band size is too small.

-When your straps are adjusted to the end and it still feels like having no support with the straps falling off, your bra band size is too large.

-Cups gapping means your bra band size is too large.

-Cups wrinkling means your bra band size is too small.

-The band of your bra doesn’t stay put when you raise your arms, it means your bra band is too small.

How do you find your Bra Size? You use BRABAR’s EZ-Fit Method and our handy Fitguide and Bra Size Calculator .

But the main thing you need to know about finding your bra size is this:

YOUR OVERBUST MEASUREMENT - YOUR BAND SIZE = YOUR CUP SIZE

All you need is two measurements of your band size and your overbust measurement and then you subtract them. No using the outdated Plus 4 method which would give you the incorrect band size altogether. If you have the incorrect band size from the start, your bra will not fit you correctly.

The only other thing you need to know is that:

Each inch = One Cup Size

So,

Less than 1-inch difference = AA-Cup

1 inch difference = A-Cup

2 inch difference = B-Cup

3 inch difference = C-Cup

4 inch difference = D-Cup

5 inch difference = DD-Cup or E-Cup

6 inch difference = DDD-Cup or F-Cup

7 inch difference = DDDD-Cup or G-Cup

And so on.

Example 1: Teen Girl

Her Underbust Measurement or her Ribcage Measurement = 30 inches (if this was an odd number, you would round up, but since this one is not, you don’t need to!)

Her Band Size = 30

Her Overbust Measurement = 35 inches

Take 30 Band Size from 34 Overbust = 5-inch difference

5 inch difference = DD-Cup or E-Cup

Her Bra Size is 30DD or 30E .

What would happen if we used the outdated Plus 4 method? She would be a 34A . You can see the stark difference between the sizes and how many people have the incorrect idea about what cup sizes look like. Everyone’s cup size will look different on them depending on the measurements. The constant is always the one inch equals a cup size.

Example 2: Teen Girl

Her Underbust Measurement or her Ribcage Measurement = 33 inches (Since this is an odd number, you round to the nearest even whole number)

Her Band Size = 34

Her Overbust Measurement = 40 inches

Take 34 Band Size from 40 Overbust = 6-inch difference

6 inch difference = DDD-Cup or F-Cup

Her Bra Size is 34DDD or 34F .

What would happen if we used the outdated Plus 4 method? She would be a 38B . Again there is a sharp difference between the sizes. It adds unnecessarily!
